Fuel Bunker Barges<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

THREE bunker barges have been designed to date, the first being the Pentow Energy, which was designed from scratch to Bureau Veritas Class, and built by Dorbyl Marine in Cape Town, for SMIT Harbour and Towage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second being the Smit Dudula, for the same client, but this time as a conversion from a dumb barge, by the name of Winbuild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A third double skin bunker barge has been designed for SMIT INTERNATIONAL, constructed by DORMAC in Durban, and launched on the 29th Nov 2007.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequent to that the SMIT ENERGY (previously called Pentow Energy, also originally designed by Triton) was double skinned in Durban by Dormac.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third SMIT Bunker Barge, DUDULA, being the last in line for double skinning, due for completion in 2009.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
